Our Team

Bogie Pratt

Bogie is a 2 1/2 year old Australian Labradoodle. Bogie is intelligent, friendly, fast, athletic, playful, and he loves agility. He is a goofy dog who likes to pick up the largest stick or branch he can find and run with it, which can sometimes be a hazard. He cocks his head when you talk to him as if he really understands what you are saying. Bogie has a cute smile, an animated tail, and a wet lick for everyone.

Eddie Hoover

Eddie is a former death row shelter dog that made his way to his permanent home in early 2008. He is a true example of the cocker spaniel's temperament, always merry. He has tons of energy and is extremely athletic, outlasting his border collie brother on any hike. Eddie will do ANYTHING for food, so he is a natural agility dog.

Jigi Bird

Jigi Doodle Bird is a four year old Australian labradoodle. He's playful, athletic, inquisitive and something of a scamp. He's always ready to ride, ready to run and ready to eat. He wags his tail all the time, even at the vet's. Along with agility, he participates in tracking and canine free-style. Plus which, he can do at least fifteen "stupid pet tricks."

Magic Elvstad

Magic is an Australian Shepherd from the "working line" of Aussies. He is long-legged and extremely fast. He turned two in January 2009. He is highly motivated and driven in agility. His speed through weave poles is impressive. While still novices, the Magic Team of Alecia and Magic is working hard to bring it all together.

Mirha Elvstad

Mirha was adopted from the SPCA in Richmond, BC Canada in 2006. She is truly a "border" collie, as she was rescued from Yakima, WA and taken in by That'll Do Border Collie Rescue in Canada. We adopted her and brought her back to Whatcom County, WA. We soon realized that agility seemed to be her "work" and she is driven to learn to work with Stefan to form Team Mirha. In seven months, they have amassed 17 titles and several "platinum points" in NADAC. At three years of age, that is quite an accomplishment.

Ronan Vander Yacht

Ronan is a 5 year old border collie that was rescued from a local shelter at 4 months of age. He loves agility but ADORES his soccer ball! He is really coming into his own on the agility course after three years, even after being diagnosed as epileptic and with all that entails.

Ronan is one qualifying run away from a versatility title, and has earned his Open Superior Performance in tunnelers. Love those tunnels! His new favorite obstacles are anything with a yellow zone, as many treats and soccer ball rewards have been put into retraining his contact zones. Before that he enjoyed the sensation of flying as he soared through the air, "Superman-ing" his way to the ground on the other side of any contact obstacle, being sure not to put even a toe in the yellow!

Rebel Delahunt

Rebel is a "little" Yorkshire Terrier who definitely lives up to his name. Regina and Rebel started agility less than a year ago as a way to focus Rebel's terrier brain. We have been pretty successful in gaining that focus but on occasion the terrier still wins out. Team Rebel quickly earned AKC Novice titles and should soon complete Open titles...if we can keep the rebel terrier at bay.

Skeet & Moya Herring

Skeet and Moya were both born to a dog that had landed in foster care just 3 days prior to their birth. Mom was so skinny, her rescuers had no idea she was pregnant. She was one of 130 dogs confiscated from a "dog hoarder" in Montana. If they had been born where they had been just days earlier, the entire litter would have died from exposure to the Montana winter.

In January 2006 Skeet came into my life at the tender age of 9 days. I was at their foster home, lying on the floor watching the litter have a nice meal with their Mom. After Skeet was done eating, he crawled over, snuggled on my arm and went to sleep. There was no doubt that he was my dog from that moment forward. Skeet is a fabulous team mate, forgiving his Mom’s mistakes on course and often doing what is right, not necessarily what I told him to do!

The decision for Moya to come home with me was made at her foster Mom's insistence. Moya and Skeet were inseparable when they were puppies. Moya was everyone's favorite; I was delighted when her foster Mom wanted me to take her home. Moya continues to be everyone's favorite. She is very female, quite petite and pretty. She knows how to win hearts with those beautiful eyes. She is not as forgiving on course as her brother Skeet however, and gets quite annoyed with her Mom when cues are late!

Smudge Hoover

Smudge is an accidental designer dog, a 'sprollie'- springer spaniel and border collie cross. He passed himself off as a calm puppy at the rescue, but quickly showed his rambunctious side once at his new home.  Smudge thrives on challenge, which often makes him a challenge. He goes crazy for doggy daycare at Tails-A-Wagging, off-leash trails, and agility.

Striker Vander Yacht

Striker is a 15 month old Miniature Australian Shepherd from Ridgestar Minis in Bellingham. He is in the early stages of agility training and is learning his contacts right from the start, unlike his big brother Ronan. Mom is a little slow but eventually she clues in! He will probably enter his first competition next year, but until then he will be having fun training and harassing our cat as well as "The Ro".

Tessie Surratt

Tessie is a 2 year-old Miniature Schnauzer with an attitude. She loves agility but has her own mind about what she wants to do. Her first trial coming up is in June.

Tia Surratt

Tia is a 4 year-old Miniature Schnauzer who loves agility. She has novice titles in NADAC Jumpers, Weavers, Regular, and Touch N Go.

Xanadu Gorham

Xanadu thrives to have her own course in agility with only jumps. Xanadu is registered with NADAC and is just starting out in the novice level of agility. At the first big trial, Xanadu was able to have a perfect run in Hoopers which ended to have her first blue ribbon. We won't discuss the rest of the runs that weekend for she made her own courses and had a bit of the zoomies.

This shall not stop the team to continue on in agility and to grow strong together. Not only has Xanadu blossomed in agility, but she has become an important part at home when she detects when my Mom is in need with her medical problems. When at practice or trials you will be able to hear Xanadu for she is a bit of the cheerleader on the side lines.

Zuzu Bird

Zuzu Doodle Bird is Jigi's twin brother and life-long underling. He's has within him the heart of a champion but some evil fairy put a curse on him in his cradle, which makes him seem plodding and diffident. He is generally sweet-natured and reserved, but he sparkles unexpectedly. This duality of his lends him an air of mystery.
